RECOMMENDED BOOKS FOR PEOPLE PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE !

03/12/2012

Hi Steve,
Which books do you most highly recommend for people preparing for marriage? Thanks, Pat

Dear Pat,

Good to hear from you! I recommend the following:

Dave Harvey, WHEN SINNERS SAY I DO; Shepherd
Press--a really good place to start to begin to think
through what Christian marriage is about.

Paul David Tripp, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ?
(Redeeming The Realities Of Marriage); Crossway--
if two sinners are getting married, why would we
NOT expect to have problems to work through?
There is also an excellent DVD series to watch and
discuss together.

Tim Keller, THE MEANING OF MARRIAGE (Facing the
Complexities of Commitment with the Wisdom of
God); Penguin--biblical marriage approached in
some unconventional ways to make you think.

Ed Wheat, INTENDED FOR PLEASURE; Revell--a tried
and true explanation of the physiology of sex and
now it works. The honeymoon has a great friend
here.
