Good reference books answer your questions about the Bible and the people and doctrines found in the Bible. But good reference tools also help you how the churches of Christ have understand the history of Christianity and how we got to where we are today.
Tools help you solve problems. Tools help you fix things. Reference books, as tools, do just that.
