Elizabeth Payson Prentiss was a daughter of Edward Payson, one of the great revival preacher of the early 1800's. The key note of her religios character is struck in her famous hymn - More Love To Thee, O Christ. This volume of heart hymns was her spiritual autobiography. While her book Stepping Heavenward has touched the hearts of tens of thousands in recent years, it is believed that this work will take its place alongside that wonderful book. It was written by a gracious sufferer who sat at the feet of Jesus and learned of Him.
