Edwards considered his "History of the Work of Redemption" to be his finest - which is no small thing coming from the man who wrote such definitive works on Free Will, the spiritual affections, etc. This work, which puts all of Scripture and human history into the context of one, complete, covenant of grace through Jesus Christ - for the glory of His church, is sorely needed today in the Church. This work is the perfect antidote to the poor, dispensationalist theology that so pervades the modern church. It also firmly establishes the post-millenial position from Scripture and reminds its readers of America's prominent role in that great and mighty work. Indeed, this is truly the greatest work by America's greatest theologian. A must read for all serious, orthodox Christians.- Ben Cable
