The average pastor will appreciate this candid look at an ordinary pastor, or really a missionary pastor. Gives an interesting look at the gospel endeavor in Quebec. There is also a sadness to the book most ministers can relate to.- Rev. Doyle Peyton

This was extremely helpful to me personally, especially the chapter entitled "Discouragement, Despair, and a Vow." We all need examples of persevering, unknown men to spur us on to greater faithfulness. The Lord used this little book to encourage me greatly.- Paul Tautges

Wow, I needed this book to give me some perspective on preaching. The final part of the final chapter really hit me. The contrast between what was happening on earth and in heaven when Tom died.- David Woollin
