Best up-to-date commentary on Romans. Helpful interaction on different views, including grammar, syntax, and theological positions, including appraisal(negative) of the new perspective. For the serious student; Main commentary is on the English translation, with much helpful interaction of the Greek text in extended and copious footnotes.- alan gibble

Far too "Lutheran" in the law- v-gospel dichotamy... Might as well be dispensational in a lot of ways... (cf. Newell's commentary) Very helpful in some areas though... and thus worthy of having on your shelf, if you have the time to read it and the space on your shlef... AND if you already own Calvin (Torrance edition), Cranfield, Frasier, Hendriksen, Morris Murray, Newell, Sanday (& Headlam), and maybe even Schriener (though Moo and Schriener are "toss ups")... otherwise save your money... Not a must have, but not a toss away either... Be a good steward with your time and see Calvin, Murray and Hendriksen first!- dodi woxa
