Contains over 40 character building stories for girls. The stories were compiles from a four volume set titled, Sabbath readings. The stories were originally gathered from church papers in the 1870's, Methodists, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc. These stories were first compiled in 1877 and were updated, and for the first time illustrated, in 1910. Due to the noble effort of the original publisher, these stories were found in nearly every orphanage in America during the late 1800s. The King's Daughter is a reproduction of the 1910 edition with 100 illustrations.
