The Book of Job is all about God's mercy and compassion. It is all about the love, the kindness, and the undeserved favor of God. The Book of Job is all about good news or the gospel. This might seem paradoxical and surprising. It seems so full of 'bad news'. Yet God is in control of all historical facts and events. He governs them all, and even when they seem paradoxical and confusing to us (as to Job) they belong to the wise plans of our sovereign God.
